Afterschool Youth Mentoring Program
The Youth Academic Program provides free educational enrichment services for the youth of Prospect Hill Terrace. The program primarily serves elementary and middle school youth, and runs every weekday Monday through Friday (3:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.). A typical session consists of a free healthy snack, homework support and academic enrichment, and special programming to foster personal growth. University mentors work one-on-one with each child to provide homework support, play games, and assist in running the day’s special activity.
Teen Homework Drop-In
The Teen Homework Drop-In Program offers free after-school academic support for high-school youth. University mentors work one-on-one with each participant to address the individual academic needs, focusing on math, reading, writing, and science.
Young Adult Empowerment Program
The Young Adult Empowerment Program offers Prospect Hill Terrace youth ages 12 to 17 unique programming tailored to academic, personal and professional development for young adults. University students serve as mentors and work with teens to design meaningful programming for participants and the community. Examples of monogramming include college information sessions, discussions pertaining to current events, and games that cultivate team work and confidence building.
